Paranormal experiences: several

Scariest location : Old farmhouse near where I grew up (still a private residence home, so cannot disclose location).

When I was young I was walking through Belhus Park with my sister, walking her friend home. When we parted company, my sister and I started walking back to Aveley, near the tree line that is next to the road that runs through the park when we spotted a figure of a monk walking between the trees. This was early evening during the summer, so still quite light and we could see the figure clearly. The figure walked from one tree cross a gap of about 30 feet to another tree, but did not reappear from the other side.

The Bell Inn Footpath

The return of Thurrock Paranormal to The Bell Inn, was my 2nd investigation with the team and my first at The Bell.

I was very excited at going to the place that so unnerved the team previously, seems a bit strange to say a group of grown men get unnerved walking down a deserted alley, until that is you try it for yourself.

When we arrived, I suggested to go alone first down the footpath, as I had no experience of what anyone else had felt. When I got to the end I had a sense of relief and disappointment, as nothing at all happened to me, no feeling of anything whatsover. The team then went down the footpath down to the field behind the Inn. Steve brought up some really interesting points that he felt regarding the murder and about Anne Bolyne. I must admit it is so easy to feel jealous of someone with the Psychic gift and all that they experience, the flip side, talking to the dead and knowing of negative entities that no one else can detect is not what I call a highlight.

When we returned to the alleyway, just before entering the alley proper, I had a wary feeling of the surrounding vegetation, as though someone was nearby hiding. When we went further in, I had a definate feeling of someone standing in line behind me, I still had my back to the field and had a ice cold burning sensation travel up my spine which was one of the most unpleasant and unnerving feelings I have ever had. The feeling I received emanating from this entity was of rage and anger at our trespassing and it wanted us gone . Take it from someone who has taken a stroll through Mafia controlled backs streets of Moscow and not thought anything about it. This was definately nasty!

When dave and I returned to the alley shortly after the team had exited, we made it to very close to the field entrance, when we encountered the entity again, Dave was behind me in the narrow alley. I had an image of a very angry large male, indistinct features as though hidden in the darkness, standing in front of us about 4 yards ahead, no sound just the image, I mentioned to Dave of the presence. We were there for only a few seconds but the feeling of being focused on and the entity's rage growing made me decide I wanted out, this was not a safe place to be with this ghost/spirit or whatever we encountered. When we turned to leave, I urged Dave to run as the image now in my mind was that of being chased, though it did seem to stop halfway up the alley.

That investigation has made me more determined to find out what there is to the spiritual realm and I have more respect for it than I have had in the past. I was totally unprepared for the feelings I had that night and hope to go back one day, not out of bravado, but to help understand what it was that I felt.

I hope other investigations are as memorable but without the physical threat that was felt that night.
